Stories of Ukrainian Jews

The common history of Jews and Ukrainians goes back over a thousand years. Until 1900, a quarter of the entire Jewish population lived in Ukraine, making the Ukrainian Jewish community the largest in the world. Hasidism arose on the territory of modern Ukraine, a large number of geniuses have Ukrainian Jewish roots – in science, literature, art, business. Ukrainian Jews played one of the leading roles in the birth and formation of the state of Israel. The video series “History of Ukrainian Jews” is dedicated to Jews with Ukrainian roots who have made a significant contribution to world history.
